B+E Test Trailer Training
B+E Test Trailer Training and Test Preparation
Our B+E test trailer training comprises tuition and practice of all the elements examined in the test. The B+E trailer towing test lasts approximately 90 minutes and is based on a mixture between the standard car driving test and the LGV driving test. The test consists of the following requirements:
- The ability to carry out safety checks on your vehicle and trailer.
- The reversing exercise.
- Uncoupling and recoupling.
- The road drive.
The safety checks, coupling, uncoupling and reversing exercises are all taught at our site in West Ashby. The road drive involves driving to and around Grimsby, ensuring that you have experienced all road situations that you may encounter on test day.
It is important to note that whilst you may be capable of carrying out the manoeuvres and exercises with the trailer, the driving part of the test is carried out in line with the LGV driving test standard. Therefore, our assessment and training will cover on the road driving to help ensure your general driving is beyond/above the required standard.
The pace of the course is dictated by you. You may have absolutely no experience of towing, in which case a 2 or 3 days training may be what you need. You may just need to fine tune your skills in which case you may be able to be test ready with just one day’s training. For more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.
